About XR2Industry
The XR2Industry project (https://xr2industry.eu/), funded by the European Union, aims to accelerate the mass adoption of XR technologies in Europe. The project will boost the European technological ecosystem and create a European XR reference platform by developing the first European XR headset. The project will distribute up to €4.8M among beneficiaries that will be selected to participate in the support programmes. The funding supports groundbreaking projects that demonstrate the potential of XR to revolutionize various sectors, from manufacturing and logistics to healthcare and education and helps promising companies develop and implement cutting-edge XR solutions.
SeeTrue’s Vision for XR
The XR2Industry funding will accelerate SeeTrue’s work on integrations of next-generation eye-tracking, enabling high-quality real-time performance in demanding environments. Our immediate focus is on bringing robust, low-latency gaze tracking to Android-based XR headsets. This will give developers seamless access to reliable eye-tracking data, opening the door to new applications ranging from intuitive gaze-based interfaces to biometric security and novel immersive experiences. “We are excited about the opportunities this funding presents and look forward to sharing our progress with our supporters and clients worldwide”, says Piotr Bartczak, the chief technology officer at SeeTrue.
SeeTrue Technologies, based in Finland, develops miniature, low-power, and exceptionally robust eye-tracking sensors. Designed for seamless integration, the technology is already being applied in smart eyewear, advanced medical systems, and operator environments. By making eye tracking practical and scalable, SeeTrue provides a key enabling technology for the next wave of mass-market XR and smart-wear solutions—bringing continuous, ubiquitous, and fully immersive digital experiences within reach.
Impact and Next Steps

In the coming months, SeeTrue will prototype and benchmark its eye-tracking solution on Android XR reference platforms. This will set the base for an SDK to give developers direct access to robust gaze data. These steps will pave the way for SeeTrue’s contribution to the first European XR reference headset and, ultimately, for the integration of eye tracking as a standard feature in mass-market XR and smart eyewear devices.
